Es una especie de ave anseriforme de la familia Anhimidae que se encuentra en el occidente de Venezuela y en el Choco y Caribe Colombiano. Is a large species of bird in the small family Anhimidae, the screamers. It is a resident breeder in northern Colombia, in Chocó, Antioquia, Córdoba, Sucre, Bolívar, Magdalena, Santander, and Cesar Departments and northwestern Venezuela, in Zulia, Mérida, and Trujillo States.

a bit of both. there were about 3 of them that just kinda hung out on this barrier island near where there is a fishing village.
