Giant Flat-backed Millipede

Polydesmid millipede

Habitat:

Found in the rain forest at the head waters of the Amazon River. Found in Ecuador jungle, half way between Shell and Coco.

Notes:

Thanks AdamBrown, the number of legs per segment toward in the middle of this millipede, confirmed to me it was in fact a millipede. I could not come up with an id myself and was helped by several wonderful people on this sight

very cool....although I would have thought it more as a centipede than a millipede....but either way it's a cool spotting!

I believe this is a milipede, but would love to know exactly what kind it is so I can post the information so that others may learn of this very strange looking insect. Thanks in advance to all who try to help me in my search, for more information.
