Chilopsis linearis

Description:

Deciduous tree with narrow, linear leaves. Lavender, trumpet-shaped flowers. Long, thin pods, each containing numerous seeds, follow the flowers. It is mot a true willow, but rather a member of the catalpa family.

Habitat:

Growing in dry, limestone based soil, in sun.
