Crab Apple Trees are typically 4-12m (13-39ft) tall at maturity, with a dense twiggy crown. The leaves are 3-10cm (1.2-3.9in) long, alternate, simple, with a serrated margin. The flowers are borne In corymbs, and have five petals, which can be white, pink, or red, and are perfect with red stamens that produce copious pollen, and have an half-inferior ovary; flowering occurs in the spring after 50-80 growing degree days.
Found in the temperate Northern Hemisphere.

It would be cool to add another pic. to this spotting in the summer or spring with the leaves on it. This could help better ID and document its transition from winter to summer.
