A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
I just took the expression from hte caterpillar, meaning different stage of developement. I think I now better stop to make some comments about flowers and fruits with my lousy knowledge...
Sorry I don't know what you mean by instar?
Is it the stamen you are talking about? I am no botanist, but I should think they fall of. I think the fruit is developed after the flower, as you can see f.ex. on an apple, where there are leftovers of the flower at the bottom :)
I did not make any obserations about the time from blossom to fruit. I just get the fruits, so I have really no IDeas about this one, and I will immediately check out cherry trees!
Ehm... These little things hanging from the blossom are early instars of cherries aren't they??? Or I am a complete floral fool (what I actually am...)!! If not, what is it then, hein...???
I am not sure either, but did you look at the little cherries coming out of the blossom??
Bin mir aber nicht ganz sicher, musst du auf jeden Fall überprüfen. Pflanzen sind normalerweise nicht so mein Ding.
