Sugar Maple

Description:

Sugar maples are large, robust deciduous trees that are usually between 5 and 35 m (82 and 115 ft) in height. The leaves are fairly large 20 cm (7.9 in) long and wide with five palmate lobes. In autumn the leaves can turn a brilliant golden or scarlet.

Habitat:

Deciduous forests in southeastern Canada and northeastern US.
