Savanna Hawk

Heterospizias meridionalis

Description:

Faixa larga subterminal negra. For those who do not speak or read Portuguese, but can read English, I give you this translation of the description. It reads as follows: The species is about 55 cm long, feathered rusty. The adult is reddish brown throughout, with the tip of the wings and tail feathers long and black. It has a white band, narrow tail. Legs and naked skin of the nostrils, yellow. Beak black and reddish brown eye. Like other hawks, the young man is very different. Colors deleted, brownish gray back and belly cream with dark vertical stripes and a semi-dark collar. About the eyes, a light stripe. The tail is cream, with fine dark stripes. Broadband subterminal black. Long feathers of the wings with thin stripes and black tip. Thanks to Willie (http://www.projectnoah.org/users/willief...) for translation
