Giant Hyssop

Agastache

Habitat:

Open habitat. Grasses, wildflowers, scattered pines and aspens. Elevation 8,373 ft.

Notes:

I'm finally done posting photos of plants I took this summer in Colorado. I was there 6 weeks. Long enough to see flowers come and go. I'm amazed that I spotted as many species as I did. There were many more grasses and wildflowers I didn't photograph. I was also surprised that so many of them were not native to North America. This area has only been used for grazing cattle and harvesting native pines. Well there are scattered houses now which may have introduced some species from their yards. Thistles are now invading the area. I posted pics of them in 2021. They bloom later in July.
