Habitat:

It can be found in Japan, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Papua New Guinea, and Northern Australia. It is commonly found in primary and secondary forests and gardens.

Notes:

I spotted this near Tuy Hoa at a popular local spot to hike and picnic along a rocky river.

Obviously Pilipes was formerly called Nephila maculata. YOu anyway have to check my suggestion.
