No problem! :) In my area, these are commonly mistaken for Lamb's Ear Plants.
I think you are right chebeague. The Lamb's ear plant is much too hairy.
In Verbascum thapsus, the species name, the last part in the scientific name should be in lower case.
I was thinking this was a Lamb's Ear Plant, not a Mullien, but I could be wrong.
