Salicornia depressa

Description:

Growing in large clumps in amongst the grass alongside the trail. Fleshy, branching, finger-like plants that had such small flowers you could hardly notice them unless you were looking very closely.

Habitat:

Next to the path surrounded by tall grasses at Shollenberger Park

Notes:

There are 5 species of Salicornia in California, so I'm not 100% sure on ID, but someone in one of my plant groups suggested this species based on the location
