Acacia Strap Flower

Description:

This is a parasite on Acacia trees. It occiurd in the Arabian deserts and in northern Africa. In Israel it reaches its northern border. The beautiful flowers are open in mid summer (today 36 degrees) and are pollinated by Palestine Sunbird.
