Okay, but the photos were taken on different days. I would do that if you were able to make a range of dates. Thanks for your info! :)

Thanks jgorneau! I would suggest you actually add the leaves to this spotting rather then have them on their own, as to have all the info to identify this plant in the same place. There is a large number of species in the genus Ranunculus, and I am not familiar with the ones in your area. But now have all the info there for the right person to make some suggestions :-)

I apologize for not providing that information.
The plant was about six inches tall, and was found in the grass in a full-sun area.

Hi jgorneau! Lovely shots, hard indeed to pick up the best one! To identify flowers to the species, it is best to also provide a picture of the leaf, the height of the plant and some info about the habitat.
