Spotting

Description:

It moves like a caterpillar with a wave that begins at the rear and moves forward. Approximate length is 2 inches with 11 segments that each have 2 legs on opposing sides. Color is mottled brown with a black spot on the segment behind the head. There are 3 lighter brown stripes that run along the length of the body. I found it on the ground in my yard this afternoon

Habitat:

My urban yard. It seems to want to crawl into the underbrush.
