Thanks Maria dB, I checked the page and none seemed similar, so I submit it for id. This is the response that I have gotten so far: "Notodontidae, and we would suggest Lochmaeus"

I will continue to look into this. :-)

I don't know much about insects but a search of pink caterpillar on BugGuide shows a whole page

You could also ask for help from them in finding an ID.
