I think Xerocomellus is a better bet, could be Xerocomellus zelleri.

Mushrooms are just fruits, by picking one you are not harming the living mycelium below the ground. :)

thnx guys! Right now I am in Buddhism mode where I do not harm any wild life.
Akward mix of science and Buddhism!

Nice finding Hema,i agreed with Jae,in these cases a vertical cute,is very elpfull in the id,some boletes are only diferent in the inside collour of the "meat"

I think it's a bolete mushroom, Hema.
Perhaps Boletus cisalpinus or Xerocomellus chrysenteron.
