We recently went on a road trip from the Sunshine Coast around central Queensland and we saw this flowering grass EVERYWHERE. This shot was taken somewhere between Charleville and Augathella. Thanks to CindyBinghamKeiser for the ID - it is native to southern Africa but common as an introduced species in Australia.
