Found the ID... Apparently they can blister your skin just from walking on it, and kill horses if enough are ingested!

I also thought it resembled a firefly! I did not see it at night, but as far as I know we do not have any other photocytes around here.
Looks similar to lightning bug or firefly! Did the abdomen light in the evening?
