The flattened abdomen is green and looks like the leaf lamina. The legs, head and thorax are orangey-brown and could blend better against the stems of plants. Couple of small marks on the back and the sides look "stitched"with orangish thread. The antennae are black and orange.

This superfamily includes four families viz., Alydidae, Coreidae, Rhopalidae and Stenocephalidae. Among these, members belonging to the family Coreidae are important pest of crops. In Sikkim the Coreid species mostly belong to families Alydidae and Coreidae. Record of Coreid fauna from the State of Sikkim is mainly done by the Distant (1904, 1908, 1918), who reported 29 species under 18 genera, but . presently 38 species under 20 genera are known ( Basu and Mitra, 2003).
