Mourning Dove

Zenaida macroura

Description:

Plump-bodied and long-tailed, with short legs, small bill, and a head that looks particularly small in comparison to the body. The long, pointed tail is unique among North American doves.

Habitat:

Everywhere!

Notes:

I must say i really enjoyed these two doves, they just wouldn't leave. Spent an hour just listening to them sing to each other. They allowed for many shots of them feeding, nesting, and perching. All in all a great time in the woods
