Description:

A small turtle perched along a log. Red markings around the edge of its shell and tail, yellow marks around the face and eyes.

Notes:

This guy did a quick cannonball into the pond when I tried to closer for a better show.

Basking turtles sometimes can be very difficult to photograph. They are so skittish and ready to dive off their spot!
