White-tailed Deer Fawn

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

Soft, reddish brown fur with white spots on top, lighter brown fur on bottom. Huge ears, dark blue eyes with long lashes. It was only about a foot long.

Habitat:

Wooded area near a marsh.

Notes:

The quintessential baby deer. I thought I might pass out from how beautiful and adorable it was.

Beautiful series of an adorable fawn! It amazes me that a fawn will stay where the mom leaves it.
