Description:

This is a wildflower of this species found growing along the roadsides in Texas and other areas of the South. It has brownish red central disk and 8 to 14, three-cleft rays. The rays are red with yellow at the tips.

Habitat:

Desert to uplands - wild or cultivated slightly different morphology
