American Vulture

American Vultures

Description:

My husband and I live in the country and as I was leaving my driveway to run errands I saw many vultures, and more in the trees, feasting on an opossum. Poor little thing was probably hit by a car, although I can't imagine how it got so far into our yard. Vultures usually feed where they find food and not move it. I thought the scene was interestingly macabre.

Habitat:

Any where there is food.

Interesting spotting. Maybe it crawled there before dying?
