This is a flower fly, Diptera that belongs to the Syrphidae family. Commonly found in the open gardens and forested areas from Spring to Autumn in Buenos Aires province and other locations in northern Argentina.

Habitat:

Forested and open areas with bushes of the central al northern Argentina.
