It's difficult to see from the picture because it is slightly blurry and doesn't show much of the plant, but it appears to be horsetail, a very primitive plant that hasn't changed much (except min size) since the Devonian period. When it is young, the plant has thin, fringe-like "branches" growing like rays from each of the plant's junctures. If it is horsetail, it is good as a treatment for rheumatism and as a general boost for the immune system when used in a tea. Pressing or blending the plant to extract the juice and adding it to your bathwater helps reduce inflammation and improve circulation. I generally use it in a tea along with chamomile, wild mint, St. John's wort, red clover blossom and a bit of lemon as a generally fix-all when I'm sick.
