Saw this guy on land then it slithered into the water and swam away
Maybe a Nerodia fasciata? There distinct bands down the snakes body, still hard to tell though.
Most likely a Northern or Midland water snake Nerodia sipedon ssp. But it is hard to nail down a firm ID on this one with just that picture. Still a nice spotting though!
