This is the male, the female is olive-tinged grey-brown above and is shown in the next set of pictures. Seen here in grounds on a bottle bush (Callistemon citrinus) which was covered in sunbirds first thing in the morning!
Savanna woodlands, forest edge, gardens and hillsides with many flowering aloes.
