Pear tree

Pyrus comminus

Description:

pear tree.

Habitat:

commonly found backyard tree. A slightly acidic soil that is well drained is the best place to grow these trees. They do especially well in the cool temperatures but can also grow well in full sunlight.

Notes:

Normally, pear trees are not prone to having insect problems or disease, which gives them their good reputation. It takes at least 4 years for a pear tree to reach maturity and start producing fruit. The particular type of pear tree is also a factor in the environment in which they do best. It's best to research the best growing conditions for each variety.
