Spotting

Description:

Medium size shrub, 1,5 m / 5 ft tall. Long, wide, pointed leaves with serrated edges. The flowers are red, grouped in clusters at the edge of the stems. The fruit is black, with a small red lobe in the extremity. The whole plant (including leaves and stems) is covered with a thick bristle.

Notes:

I've been looking for an ID for some time, but couldn't find any. I was told by someone that lives nearby that its name is Maria-preta (Black Mary), but this didn't help at all. Anyway it is a very pretty plant, with its contrast between red and black.
