Sadly this little guy was injured when we were moving our woodpile.
I was very excited to find it Ian - such a shame that he was in bad shape. We do have quite a few maples in the woods that run the length of our yard so I'm guessing that's where it came from.
Nice. They're fairly uncommon. Need very old maple stands to reproduce.
