Inchworm

Geometridae

Description:

This is the larvae of a common moth in the Geometer family. They get around by pulling with their front appendages and alternately bringing their back appendages forward giving the impression of measuring the earth as they go. Quite a cute little guy to observe.

Habitat:

This was seen on a truck on a bright summer day.
