Sugar Maple

Acer saccharum

Description:

Sugar maples can grow up to a range of 60 to 100 feet tall. They have singlet leaves that are 3-5 inches an the leaves are smooth. The leaves are a dark green color. The sugar maple usually flourishes in January. The sugar maple can handle temperatures up to 100 degrees F. and can collect an annual 10-50 inches of rainfall. The sugar maple produces large amounts of seeds and this tree is used to make maple syrup.

Habitat:

The sugar maple is found mostly in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states in the United States but they are almost all places in the States. Its a North America tree.
