Alligator Gars have a very rough skin, just like a alligator. They lay eggs with poison so that predators won't eat them. But now days, people hunt gars to eat. Alligator Gars may look and sound like thirsty blood eaters, but they eat as little as possible to save energy. Some people did a test to see how the eggs' toxic affect their predators, such as craw fish. The affect of the toxic was immediate. Also, unlike other fish, craw fish can breath air! I found that especially interesting. Learning about these Gars might have sound boring for some people, but I learned a lot from the documentary I watched. It's amazing how we can learn so much from a 30 min documentary. I had fun and my animal brain got bigger. :D
