Papio anubis
By two weeks, the infant begins to explore its surroundings for short periods but stays near the mother. The distance that the infant spends away from its mother increases the older it gets. These infants wanted some of the corn cob that the adult male had found; there was no sharing, the adult moved off to enjoy the meal while the little ones stayed behind.
The species is the most widely ranging of all baboons; it is found in 25 countries throughout Africa, extending from Mali eastward to Ethiopia and Tanzania. Isolated populations are also found in some mountainous regions of the Sahara. It inhabits savannahs, steppes, and forests. Seen at Nairobi National Park

I am four-fifths of the way through the book now and hope to finish reading it in the next week! :)
A good read about baboons is A Primate's Memoir by Robert Sapolsky.
Thanks, Gerardo!
