This was actually an accidental pet. My captive female red-cheeked mud turtle breed with one of my musk turtles and sure enough the egg hatched. Cutest little guy and I'm hoping to get more.

Hi Josh. Please reload your first photo, as it is not showing. Interesting turtle... is this a pet or a local find? Red-cheeked mud turtles are found in Mexico, South America, and Central America. I think the only Kinosternid turtle in Conn. is the Common Musk Turtle.
