Cactus flower

Description:

This cactus is more or less the size of a football and produces scores of flowers at this time of year, but each one only lasts about a day. Several open at once and the flowering lasts for a few days then they die and eventually drop off and another group grow. At the time of posting the second group have not flowered. We got these from our Spanish neighbour but have no idea of the species.

Habitat:

Garden.
