A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
An unidentified skink, perhaps Carlia sp.? Approximately 14 cm total length.
Spotted on the forest floor along transect in secondary coastal lowland mixed freshwater swamp forest/sago swamp forest.
Carlia sp. can be recognised by the presence of just 4 toes on the forefeet, instead of the usual 5 toes found in other genera. < http://www.ecologyasia.com/verts/lizards... > Unfortunately I didn't get a good look or shot of it's forelegs.
