Red Cardinal

Description:

Mid sized bird, get usually between 8 to 9 inches. Male is red with a black face and black wings. Female is fawn with black face and black wings. Males posses ability to change pigment from its original pigment.

Habitat:

Natural habitat is woodlands, swamps, and gardens. Found acroos eastern part of the US. Extends all the way west to the US Mexico border and through Mexico.

Notes:

Mainly eats seeds, fruit, and insects. They eat spiders, crickets, blackberries, grasses, and wild grapes.
