Badamia exclamationis
Badamia exclamationis, commonly called the Brown Awl, is a Hesperid butterfly found in Southeast Asia and Australia. It's English common name is derived from its characteristic habit of showing quick darting flight. A rare forest species, distinguished by the long narrow forewing. It will usually only be encountered by accidentally disturbing the species when resting.
Near farmlands.
This butterfly is a fast flyer and is seldom encountered.
Hi Leana, I found one of these narrow wing Skippers in Mexico. Not like yours, but must be the same subfamily at least. They have oddly shaped wings for a Skipper.
