Description:

Tree to 50 ft. Alternate, 2 x even-pinnate, to 2 ft. Flowers open from large buds, revealing 5 spreading and flaring petals, the central one white or yellow or both, streaked with red or purple and dropping quickly, the others scarlet or orange, longer lived. Fruit is 1-2 ft long pod.
