I do not know flies very well.
At a guess it might be a black scavenger fly in the family Sepsidae.

But then again it might be something else. Hopefully if you tag it as a fly rather than an ant someone that knows this group better than me will pitch in and help out.

This is some type of fly (Diptera) - not an ant or a wasp.
