I found another one and measured it. Too big to be a rice weevil, so I'm going with maize weevil.
eulalia, Thanks for the clue. This weevil was larger than 2mm, so do you think it could be the maize weevil instead? The size is the only difference I can see between the two, although from what I read there are other differences - I just can't see it.
