Mangrove St. Andrew's Cross Spider

Argiope Mangal

Description:

Yellow stripes down the back, not too small (about 1 inch or less), brownish backside, pointy backside, legs are spread out into four corners (as seen in the picture.)

Habitat:

Found in a secondary tropical rainforest, hanging from trees. It was resting in it's web when found, and crawled very fast as it tried to get away from the book.

Notes:

Blends in with the rainforest background, and tried to get away fast as we inserted the white notebook behind it. Looks like it is missing some of its legs in the strange four corner clump. I think this spider might be a Argiope aurantia because the coloring on the abdomen look the same, and the spacing of the legs look exactly like it.
