Velvet Ant Mimic Jumping Spider

Phiale mimica

Notes:

Jumping spider mimicking an insect, probably an ant. Positions its two front legs as if they were antennas, and looks as if it had six legs. Really funny looking, I imagined it saying "I'm an ant, I'm an ant, I'm an ant..." VIDEO!

Thanks chun i'm flattered! Last time I went to that spot I saw 2 or 3 of these guys, they seem to be really common on this part of my country.

Hey Diaz José Miguel ! She must have fed on something recently and the other reason is that she must be gravid :)

Thanks Atul! I have a question before I update tthe ID, why is the abdomen way bulkier on my pic than on the pics found on the net. I would ask the same question about a phiale formosa i found http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/710...
