Look forward to seeing the red crested one!

My USA book says they are Uncommon. They are common over here but often mixed in with other species so careful searching is sometimes required. I often take photos of whole flocks, then study them on a PC to search out the odd ones. Get some surprises at times! I am posting ducks at the moment, Red-crested are on the menu.

These do not seem to be common!
This is my first sighting after nearly 2 years of searching!

Male, the female is browner with a pale stripe over the eye.
