Description:

The eggs (I'm guessing hatched) and larvae of the sawfly, the larvae are coated in a jelly to keep them from being preyed upon. In the larval stage they strip leaves until a skeleton of veins are left.

Habitat:

Found on mum's ornamental cherry tree.
