Chrysemys picta marginata
Hi there. I've gone ahead and have updated the common and scientific names for you. :-)
Thanks all for input. Just started project Noah and wanted to test it out
Found this one trying to cross a hi-way by us to get to the lake.
I would say that it is most likely belongs to the subspecies of the Midland Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta marginata) based on the location of the spotting.
Hi Dave, I have moved this to reptiles for you. If you are adding spottings from the mobile app you can drag the category bar to reveal more categories.
Could you change the species group to reptile? Also if you have a picture of the lower carapace and of the side of the head, it would be easier to ID. I suspect a painted turtle
