I agree, Matthew. The only other toad choice for Michigan is the Fowler's toad, and it has 3 or more bumps per dark spot, and this toad doesn't fit that description. Nice link suggestion, Maria, and good research, Matthew! :-)

Hi Matthew. Nice spotting! It is not a bullfrog. Perhaps you can ID it by looking at this website with frogs of Michigan (scroll down to the end).
