Description:

3 to 5 feet in height. Glossy strap-like leaves from a central stalk. Flowers are briliant red with a downward hanging appearance.

Habitat:

Roadside in a hedge/shrub in a scrub habitat/preserve. Well drained loamy sand area.

Notes:

Just sort of "popped" out of the hedge while I was riding my bike.
